Wow, what a beauty. This French Bebe is a 14” FG (Francois Gaultier), Ca 1882. She is the earlier Block Letter model, marked F. 5 G. She has a beautiful face, is the perfect small size and dressed to perfection. Her bisque is free of damage or repair. Her body has been repainted and so well done it's hard to tell and adds to her beauty. She has beautiful big blue glass paperweight eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, closed mouth with rich accent line between the outlined lips, dimpled chin and pierced ears. She has an antique-blonde mohair wig over her original lambskin wig which as you can see is pretty sparse, but it’s still nice that she does have her original lambskin wig. Her original wig is attached to her original cork pate, so when her pate is removed, the top part of her wig comes with it. Her French composition body is a picture of perfection with beautiful finish. She is wearing a her undergarments, tan ribbed socks, and leather shoes. Her is beautiful and is made of pale blue silk satin with pale blue chiffon accents and very early embroidered lace with an early piece of silk ribbonwork that runs from the shoulder to the skirt. It comes with a matching hat that is equally gorgeous. She’s a beauty that will make you sigh every time you walk past her.
